.. thursday = pain, is it friday? ..

alright so i woke up this morning and laid in bed and attempted to move. my body was so sore i was convinced that it had to be friday since i was so sore. i had to have just worked out with my trainer and that is why everything is rusted in place right? wrong. i soon realized that it was thursday and much to my dismay knew that i had to power through another day before the weekend arrived and it was going to be a painful one. argh. so i managed to lever myself to the sitting position, no easy feat, and into the standing position. my legs were on fire and I'm sure that my calves were tighter than a slingshot in full pull mode. killer. 

work today was actually pretty crazy. i had a big ribbon project that consumed the better half of the morning and part of the afternoon to complete. but i did find comfort in listening to a podcast on itunes to help pass the time. if you haven't done these i highly recommend them. i listen to one called radiolab, they are great. i have learned a bunch of fun things and actually took time to think about stuff in depth that they were talking about. riveting i know. once i wrapped up the ribbon ordeal i was off to lunch, i know amazing it took that long huh? i had lunch with my booted pup and then it was back to work for another hour and a half. i powered through the last bit which involved testing punches, cutting strips for a different ribbon project and then catching up on the ever piling emails that were crowding my mailbox. after all this it was 5 and time to go! i was off, and knew that the training hell was awaiting me. argh. so i got home changed, had a granola bar for energy boost, and was off to get my butt handed to me. literally. here is what went down to cause my butt to come off..

{crunches (30), push ups (10) repeat 3 times}

{boxers (15), diamond push ups (12) repeat 3 times}

{obliques (20 each side), leg lifts (15) repeat 3 times}

{planks for one minute}

arms
{lateral pull downs (12), bicep rows (12), triceps (12) repeat 3 times}

arms
{lateral pull downs, underhand close grip (12), one handed bicep rows (8 ea side), triceps pull downs (12), repeat 3 times}

sprints
{5 minutes on elliptical 20 seconds full sprint, 40 second walking}

arms
{seated flys (15), push ups 10 half way hold for 5 seconds followed by 10 more, repeat 3 times}

are you kidding?!?!
{seated machine rows (15), seated machine shoulder pull downs (15) repeat 3 times}

sprints
what the f?!?
{ lunges to half court (basketball court), 10 push ups, lunges back}
{wall squat 30 seconds, 12 jump squats, side shuffles to half court and back}
{sprint to other side of court, walk back repeat 3 times}

um can you say dead? i was done. stick a fork in me, finished. after this brutal workout i went home and met my cute hub and pup. the family decided to do dinner out tonight, so we met them for dinner and yes i did wear my spandex and a sweatshirt, don't judge me. 

we followed up with a shower, bathing the pup, folding more laundry - swear it never stops- and watching a episode of cheaters, all time classic.
